A Guide to Christian Workers

The COMMISSION:

 

1. God has called us as watchmen, to watch and help others know the Lord Jesus.

2. As a Watchman we need the Word of POWER, and a Battle Cry.   "IN THE NAME OF JESUS".

3. We have a call to Conquest, or die trying. For us to die is to live.

4. We need to WAKE UP or rouse the Church from its REST. Our Master Calls, our Rest is later.

5. The Watchmen gives the CALL, Arise and Evangelize!

6. The man and women are fallen and dying, we must make known the Gospel Grace to them in Darkness.

7. The world now is in Darkness, they need the Light that only Christ can give them, and Christ has told His Church, His people to Evangelize!

Matthew 28:18-20

 18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

  1. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
  2. "teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.

We find Jesus and the Apostles in the Church of their day, and in the streets, and in the Homes. Cell meetings with prayer meetings and also Church services. Why? To give power to the people, to educate, to grow, to worship to the edification of the Lord, in the lives of all that will hear. So that Christ is dwelling within His people in a network of loving relationships. Each of us caring and helping one another, to grow in Christ.

 Acts 1:8 "But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

 Why? So we can work together, share with each other, having the equipment to perform the ministry of the church. Each one training the younger so all will Grow and All will see Jesus. That is a step to Witness unto all people. Jesus sent them out two by two, small groups, today some call it a Cell meeting or house meeting.

 Ezekiel 33:7-8 "So you, son of man: I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore you shall hear a word from My mouth and warn them for Me.

8 "When I say to the wicked, 'O wicked man, you shall surely die!' and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at your hand.

 The Lord uses His Church, which is not someone else that use a "name" but you and I, to meet the needs of people today. No one person can do it, just like when I was in the gang or the military, we watched each others back and protected the weaker from the enemy.

 Story:   While in the Philippines, the Church was being stoned. It looked like we were in great trouble. I called the Elders to help me. One elder was as big as I, and looked stronger then I was. We went out of the Church together, back to back, to meet these bad people Eye to eye. I told them we came in the name of the Lord, and if they wanted trouble, we would give them it. We were ready to fight or die if need be to protect the others from harm. The Lord took over and all went well, the evil ones ran and we found strength.

Sometime people have to see a Christian to believe them. All words, and no faith to believe that God will take care, is not a good witness.  We should not be in Church just to find a friend, but to serve the Lord. The people are watching you and I, when we are home, or away from the Church, to see if the Jesus we talk about is the Jesus of the bible, and able to change them, as he did to us.

Matthew 5:13-16

13 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

14 "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.

15 "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.

16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Salt is bitter and not to easy to just eat, but without it man would die. Once Brother Garrett was weak and sickly, he wanted me to pray, I took one look at him, and said you do not need prayer, you need SALT.  He took a little and his weakness left, as the heat in the Philippines was a little to much for the body, without water and salt.

The Light is needed, let me tell you, once at sea, in a small boat, it became dark and it was night.  I could not see the land, then I seen a small light.  I keep the motor running and found many fisherman, but no land. After prayer, I looked up and seen a "Cross" in the sky a long ways off. I headed for that cross, and you know, I found land, and a Church with a large Cross, all lit up.

Proverbs 11:30

30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

We as believers need to have Fruit for others to see, If you're a bus driver you will need a Bus, if you work at Mc Donald’s you do not wear a suit, but the uniform of a employee of that place. A baker, a Banker, a Policemen, all can be known by their fruits. What they do. We need to be seen by others by our Fruit.

Fruit just doesn’t happen, you need to plant, water, and care for the plant, then it is not an overnight thing, and it takes time. A Apple tree takes up to 25 years to give its first fruit, lets hope no one here takes that long.

Daniel 12:3

3 Those who are wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever.

The Lord wants us to be WISE and to SHINE, not only know the way, but also so SHINE all can see, like the Light. To see the Stars you need a clear night, in the Spirit a Clear spirit, to see what God wants, and then to not keep it to yourself, but be willing to help and care and join others in Cell. In home meetings and Church and bring others to join, and turn many to righteousness.

Ps 126:5-6 Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. 6 He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

The promise is Sow in Love or tears, Reap in Joy. KEY WORD is "CONTINUALLY" Carrying SEED, the Word of God, and then planning it, in the heart of others, Called Sowing. Then what Joy it is to show someone your Sheaves or product of you're ministry, or work.

I witness to a group of Drug Addicts at a meeting of youth, I gave them my life story of what God did for me. Months later at International Bible College, a youth came up and asked If I remembered him, I did not. He related that he was there that night, I spoke and was going to go back on drugs, then heard me, and said if that person could do it, so could I and he was now a student in bible college, leaning to be a preacher. We did rejoice together.

How many will ask God now to use you?  Will you raise your hand and ask for prayer that God will use you to win souls and be a useful and helpful person in the Church and Kingdom of the Lord. So we all can hear "Well Done!".
