Dear Internet friends;
We would like to thank all of you that pray for China and
Hong Kong as you prayer support helps us to reach Hong Kong and China with the Gospel of
the Lord Jesus Christ.
God is moving as we pray. People falling as the Spirit of God touches them inside
China. We have had to make some changes because of the bombing of the
Chinese Embassy by US/NATO planes. The US Government has asked Americans not to
enter mainland China at this time until things cool down there. Our June camp will
be here in Hong Kong, on this side of the China boarder. I will be preaching
at the camp. We are still planning for July and August inside of China, as the
people there are so hungry for Bible teachings.
Thank the Lord Jesus, that our Chinese co-workers do not have this problem, and now we
have a work started once a week inside of mainland China. With about
Twenty-five house-church leaders, that want to be trained in the bible. Pray
for these weekly meetings and that the funds will come in so we can help with some of the
cost of these meetings. It can be dangerous even for our Chinese Pastor and
elders that go from Hong Kong to China.
[ Let me share with you from the 'South China Morning Post" 25
Held In Raid On House Church--associated press. Police broke up a church
service at a rural home and detained all 25 participants in the latest raid on Protestants
worshipping outside state control in Henan province, a human rights group reported
yesterday (May 4 paper). The dozen officers confiscated all Bibles found at
the home in Sui county on April 25. The Government's control has included
limits on evangelizing and restrictions on ties with overseas churches. The raid in
Sui was at least the fifth since October in Henan. Police had detained 225
other Christians. 40 people detained at Christmas in Shangqiu. 13 of the
detainees have been threaten to be sent to labor camps if they do not pay 2,000 yuan
(US$235.00) nearly as much as the average rural residents make in a year.] As
you can see we need your daily prayers for Gods protection and leading, for all of our
workers, and Sister Carol and me.

Sister Carol has started a ladies bible study for those that speak English in our
apartment here in Shueng Shui. This was the first meeting and she is looking forward
to many woman coming from many nations that live in the area. We have been
working only with the Chinese up until now. Please pray for these prayer and bible
studies.
