 Dear Internet friends:

We would like to thank you for your prayer support, which help us reach Hong Kong and China with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.  

 God is moving and we would like to thank you for your prayers.  Our trip to the Philippine has been canceled due to the kidnapping and the warning of the US Government not to travel to the South where the conference was.  We were planning to go until the rebels attacked the police station in Cebu and took weapons.  Sister Becky called from Manila and said we should not go as the others missionaries were not going either.   Brother Omar went, since he is a Filipino and is now president of the fellowship since Carol’s Dad died.   We ask you to keep praying as we will go some other time to check on the churches and such. There are Kidnappings, beheadings and killings in the Southern Philippines at this time.  

We have been looking for a new building for the Church.  We could remove the walls that hold the office and children’s church.  We need to make room for the overflow of believers that is coming to the Sheung Shui Church. Then we still will need to have another building for those needs.   However the cost will be high. I have promised to help with the cost of the work or moving.   We will have to September to renew our contract or move. If we enlarge we will need $3,000.00 or more for that, and if we move we will need the money to fix up the place we rent for another two years.

 Mothers day 2000 service in Sheung Shui. 

The youth work is going great; we now have contracted two places for Youth meetings here in Hong Kong.  On  Mother’s day I ministered on the duty and work of the women and Mother’s in the Church, below is a Picture of the mothers that attended.   Since the services are full, some could not come, and that is more reason to enlarge.   I have about a thousand tracts left, in Chinese for Hong Kong.  We are stamping them with the church address and phone numbers.   If you know of any publisher that has good Chinese for both the mainland and Hong Kong, please let us know so we can order some.
