Dear Internet friends and supporters;
Thank you, for your prayer support of which helps us reach Mainland China as well as Hong Kong, with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Sister Carol and I will be leaving for Hong Kong, China flying from Chicago, IL, on the 30th of April at about 8:30 that morning, and arrive at May 01, at 10:30 P.M. We got a good price which saved us nearly a thousand dollars, off the airfare. Pastor John Bair has promised to drive us to the Airport, and sell our Jeep for us. Our plan is to be in China for the next three years. The Chinese are now looking for a small apartment for us. Hong Kong is one of the highest rental areas in the world with over 7 million people.
Please continue to pray that God will provide the support needed for the church in Sheung Shui, NT, Hong Kong. Let me share with you the e-mail from our Sheung Shui Chinese pastor.
“The church in Sheung Shui will rent the top floor for office in May, we raise some special offering for rent the place, it will cost an extra $4,000 per month,[US$520.00] but we need a place for the office and for the kids and cell groups. So we do it by faith and we believe the Lord will supply all our needs. We touched around ten families from China during the last two months, and around six families take part in the services that the church provides for them. We believe we'll have a good harvest this year.”
There are now eight families attending the English class and woman’s Group in the church, we believe they will get saved. They are all invited to attend the Sunday services in May. Since we will have more room for them as the place will be bigger then. Please bring before the Lord the need for an air conditioner as the one we gave the Church four years ago, stopped working. The weather in Hong Kong is getting warmer as it is sub-topic there. The cost will be $550.00 to replace it, they have asked me to please see if we could raise the funds for the Air-conditioner. They need more funds for the youth church and office that will be moved upstairs. The Chinese said they would appreciate it very much if anyone would help with this monthly rental.
The Chinese church will find us an apartment, and arrange a car to meet us, at the airport when we arrive. We have someone to care for our house in Indiana, to collect the rental. Please pray that God will send a good family to rent our home, we are almost finished with repairing it, and getting everything in order to rent. Carol and I will need to refurnish our apartment in Hong Kong, as we gave everything away to the ministry when we left, last year. We have been missionaries since 1964 and look forward to many more years to serve the Lord in Asia, as partners with you.
