Dear Internet friends;
Carol and I would like to thank you, for your prayer support to helps us in reaching out to all China with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
As you can see by the pictures,
your support of the youth camps gave us many contacts. We helped
with, each day, for a week these classes. With songs and such to start with,
then classes to help their English and learn of Jesus. This was followed by
lunch and in the afternoon, Christian outreach, with games and testimonies,
bible lesions and such. Our Chinese Pastor Amos, next to me, was the
coordinator for our area, there were four camps going on at the same time to
cover most of Hong Kong. Our ministry was in reaching the children and training
teachers how to witness and work with children. The following Saturday, we had
over 20 come to the Church for follow up, and with you prayers, may all accept
Christ. Many had no knowledge of who Jesus is, or what a church is. Mainland
people from communist china, and others came and the report from
them
and their
families was worth all the time and money.
Water baptism, in the name of our
Lord Jesus Christ, will be next week for those that have accepted the saviour.
The local law says a child must be at least 18 years to be baptized, or join a church, if their families are not of the same religion. We hope to have some
pictures of that next time. The baptism service will be after the regular Church
service in the afternoon, at the ocean.
We have not heard back from the land agent, about the larger building we wanted
for the Church. So, do pray we can find and afford a larger place. We
are now overflowing, and may need to have another service on Sundays. There is
a Saturday night service now, plus teaching classes for all ages each day to
establish believers in the Lord. Some of were Buddhist, others had no god of
any kind, and this is all new to them. It is a joy over the years to see them
grow up, to be responsible adults and get
married, and bring their children to
church. The praise and worship group has been asked to share in song
in some open air and auditoriums. We purchased a portable drum set, and PA
system, etc. which we pray will be a blessing and attract many to these meetings
to hear the Gospel message, which we could not have done, with out your
faithfulness, God bless.
