Hong Kong, China
January-February 2004
Dear Internet reader,
Thank you, for your support of prayer, which does help us to reach out to China with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. Matt 9:36 But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest. NKJV
God is so good, His blessings are so great, below is our Luna New Years service January 25, 2004 our young people in praise to the Lord Jesus, in song and worship. The Spirit of God is blessing so wonderfully, it is no wonder we have been having some problems with our support not meeting the needs last year. Some of our faithful supporters for years have had to stop, because of age, some in their late 80s now. We are thankful to some since we left for the mission work in 1964, another closed their church, and did not tell us, another faithful church is having problems and did not send support for most of last year. Last year was the first year, in many years, we did not meet the budget, so please pray others will pick up the burden for China and help us this year to do more then before. As you can see the Lord is now filling up this building, and we may have two morning services on Sundays soon. There is a Saturday night service and Thursday morning prayer service in Chinese weekly. The other church we are ministry to which are having afternoon outreaches services. They are giving out tracts, and such, and are slowly growing in number.

Last year 2003 seen us move into this building, higher rent but more room, we had a great youth camp more then 50 attended, we baptized 9 in the ocean, and 10 young people gave their life to Jesus, last month, with 3 more, burning their idols and worship stuff, that I set fire to, and prayed for them. All were in service this month. There will be another 3-day meeting in the church for evangelism and then our people will go to another area for meetings, this month. The summer camps and trips into communist China, by our ministers to reach family members and training Pastors, as they do not have the freedom we have in Hong Kong. Hong Kong is our stepping-stone to all of China. We have so many things planed now to reach out to the elderly and youth, meals and help to the families. So we still need to be faithful and careful with our funding and pray more will support, and those that churches that are in problems will be like one of our faithful supporting churches, say they will add an additional offering each month. As we are faithful, they will be also. Thank God, and thank you for your prayers.
Sister Carol is feeling better but still having vascular headache daily, and spent a night and day in the hospital till the pain stopped. She loves the Lord, everyone just loves her, and she is faithful to the Lord and is always with me, no matter how much she is suffering. Please remember her in your prayers, as well as myself. The weather is the coldest it has ever been on record, it was down to zero C, or 32 F. yesterday, and remember this is the sub-tropics. We had to buy a small portable heater, as there is no heat in our apartment building at all. Cold water, which we have a small heater, to warm up the water in the bathroom, no hot water to do dishes in, so we heat it on the stove. If you will look at the pictures you will see everyone is wearing sweaters and such as we have no heat at all in the church either. Then God still blesses, and we are thankful we still can worship, as so many in China cannot and the government there has closed more house churches. PLA is reported that they burned some Buddhist temples down; it is religion, the Communist do not like. Then be glad with us as many new believers are coming, as they see the faithfulness of God in the Christians here. Thank you again for your faithful support and we hope to hear from you soon.
Yours missionaries in Jesus,
