Dear Friends;
Thank you, for your loving support of the ministry with your prayers. This does help us to reach out to Hong Kong and the rest of China with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise the Lord we will be leaving for Hong Kong on April 29, 2005 the fare has been paid. We are going by faith as a few more supporting churches have had some internal problems of their own; they have informed me for the time being they will not be sending the mission support as they have in the past. While some others have said they will be supporting the ministry, we have no promises of the amount or if they do as they have said, they would. Please pray for this matter. Well for now we will were able to get roundtrip tickets good till August 1, for just a little more then the one way fare would have been. Of course, these tickets are not refundable and have to be used as issued. We have trained very good ministers and pastors, elders etc, over the fifteen years we were in Hong Kong; they are doing a great job for the Lord. Carol and I also have prayed if it is time to move on to another place, any place in the world, God will let us know that also. Then for now, we will believe God for the needs here in Hong Kong and that all will be taken care of as people send their support for the ministry and we are blessed.
Now here are some needs that still need to be met. The church in Fanling, Hong Kong will move a place that is two floors, over a business on the main street. Which is near, to where we were before in Sheung Shui. Let me list these needs as I have received them by e-mail from Chinese Pastor Amos Tsang, who you can see with me in all the baptism pictures at the website or in the past newsletters. I will give the amounts in US Dollar cost, as we will exchange that for Hong Kong Dollars to pay the bills. The Rent and advance deposit is $5,065.00. They will have to buy Air-conditioning at $4,545.00 and to install the Electricity and wiring $1,300.00. The carpets will cost $2,875 then decoration and furniture about $3,896.00 as well as $1,300.00 in moving transportation & Office Equipment. All that needs to be in by the end of May 05, as we will move in June this year. If anyone would feel to help please mark, you check for “HK Church” so we can make sure every cent is used as you wish. The Chinese are giving also, and out of the above $18,961.00 they have given $9,091.00 which means we still need the total of USD $9,870.00 or in Hong Kong dollar $76,000.00. Therefore, you can see they also want to bless the Lord and reach people for Christ. I am so happy to be part of this, as they are giving and they are not rich folks, many still going to college and high school and you know that does cost. This is a joy to me, to be part of such a great group of Chinese that do put the Lord first. Missionaries depend on offering and at times we just have prayer and a hope for tomorrow man fails but God has never failed.
Remember also the $40.00 that will send a student to youth camp for three days, this year, as well as day camps and outreaches, which will still go on. Therefore, we were able to help only a few go to the bible camp in Communist China last month with had a 100 youth showed up. The communist police did not show up but the Spirit of God did, and the reports I got back was great. If you do read Chinese, we have a Chinese website also that has some English explanations. Mostly written in Chinese so we can reach out by website to all the Billion plus Chinese inside of China and around the world with the message, Jesus loves them and cares for all people of the world. We want again to say thank you for those that have keep supporting this ministry over the years, some are now up in age and in their 80s and still pray and help. Some have gone on to be with the Lord and others have to live on very little and cannot send monthly. We want to make sure at this time with the new building and such that all is set up to keep ministry for many years to come. Thank you and do pray for our time left here and our trip to China and God willing many more in Asia.
