Dear Internet friends;
Thank you, for your loving prayer support of the ministry. This does help us to reach out to Hong Kong and the rest of China with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Let me bring you up to date on what is happening and our plans to return to Hong Kong. Sister Carol had to have her medicine changed, as the doctors said one of the main medicines was very dangerous as she been on it daily since 1976. Therefore, she was in the hospital for ten days, until she was feeling better. The hospital gave us a 95% discount for their bill, and all visits to the doctor. Still it cost over thousand dollars. She is doing fine now, and we thank you for your prayers. Our daughter Elizabeth is now out of the hospital for corrected surgery on her bowels and colon. We do request you to continual prayer for her complete recovery. Thank you.
We are in contact with Hong Kong by email; remember to keep the church in your prayers. We have not moved yet, God is able to touch the property owner and Management Company as well as Fire Marshal to let us stay for the next two years. We have a contract for three years with them for the whole third floor. This is the largest area we could find that could hold the membership that is growing each month. It is getting near again to raise funds for summer camp, which cost $40.00 dollars for each child to attend which we do sponsor with your help each year. This covers the cost of the buses, to and from the campground also the food and logging while at the camp for 2 nights and three days. The church will also have 4 or 5 day camps, which always brings in a lot of youth, many that never been in a church and do not know Jesus as Lord or Saviour. Pray this year they will blessed as in the past. That is one reason we see such growth in the local church, we see new people now attend the church in Fanling that would not of know about Jesus, except for these outreaches.
Carol and I have been ministering in some churches we have not been in before so pray they will want to become partners in missions with us. I have checking in with the VA and am now in their system, should I ever need any medical help. We hope all will be ready so that we can return to Hong Kong no later then the end of April this year. We have had some promised support while at least two church wrote that they might have to stop their monthly support as their membership has falling. Please pray for those that have promise will send so we can stay longer in China, as at this time we will be making arrangements to fly in April and stay a while to minister and arrange things for growth and the youth meetings etc. If the support does come in for the rental of housing and such for us, we could stay longer. We are faith missionaries and so again will step out as we have these past 41 years trusting God will provide.
I
just received this picture of the folks we have ministered to at the Drug
rehabilitation camp. They have grown and are reaching folks addicted to drugs.
You can see the staff and the people attending and living at the camp. I am look
forward to preaching to them again. Please also remember then in prayer, as
they grow in the Lord and learn a trade to support them.
