Thank you for your love and support of this ministry of prayer to reach Hong Kong China and others with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise the Lord the work in Hong Kong, China is still growing and God is blessing. The picture at the left was taken in March 2006. Then the rest was the last youth meeting taken in December last year, as you can see many youth and families are worshiping together. I gave them three hundred dollars for the ministry in March. I will send a few hundred dollars more next week for the youth groups. If you can help to send, a youth to summer camp the cost is US $40.00 each. This will covers three days and two nights, the bus fare round trip and all meals for each young person. The $40.00 helps the youth that cannot afford the full amount or is in a hardship. The Government also supplies some funds so the full cost is not as high as it would be if we had to pay all of the cost. Each year I have promised to send no less then Ten youth to camp and will pay for them as God supplies. The past few years we were able to pay for more then twenty young people to attend the camp. There are also day camps and outreaches each summer. Then as you know these meetings touch the hearts of the youth and last summer more then 12 were baptized in the ocean off Hong Kong. If you can help mark, your check memo “YOUTH” or “CAMP” and we will make sure every penny will be used for that ministry.
The Church in Shueng Shui is reaching out to many underprivileged families from mainland China. So please pray for this ministry. I believe that God has blessed not only because we were faithful and went to China to minister but because of your prayers and love for the Chinese and for us. Thank you very much and I hope you will keep us in your prayers as we minister wherever God leads. Raymond Chan my English interpreter has just finished his college his mayor is in English Language and Literature. He has asked for prayer so he can find a job and is looking forward to ministry. Maybe, God willing he will visit the USA and we could show him around since he never been to America. I will let you know if that is possible as I am sure you would enjoy meeting him. He says Carol and I are like his Mom and Dad, and cried when we left to return to the USA. God willing we would like to be go back to Hong Kong this summer, for a while and minister. The folks there are like our own family for the past sixteen years, I and Pastor Amos have baptized most of them, married a few and seen the children grow up. Please do pray about that and Gods will for us.
We wanted to go to the Philippines this May 23-26 to Tagbilaran, Bohol but could not as they had the National conference on that Island. Which is not easy to get to, the transportation is not safe and sometimes a ship will sink and rebels will attack them. Instead we sent $300.00 dollars to help Omar Dalumpines go he is our Filipino brother in-law, his wife Becky was adopted by Carol’s Dad. Omar hoped to have about 700 pastors and workers there. I was the regional superintendent over the southern part of the Philippines for near 19 years. It is a joy to see the number grow and to know that the work the Lord gave us is still growing, God has honored our faithfulness and yours and others that have given out of your hearts to Asia for Jesus.
