Dear Internet friends;

Happy New Years 2008!  We would like to say thank yo, for your love and support of this ministry in prayer to help us reach out to Hong Kong and Mainland China with the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Isa 55:10-11 That it may give seed to the sower. And bread to the eater, 11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thingfor which I sent it (NKJV).

 I was praising the Lord for the years Carol and I have ministered in the Philippines, Taiwan and China then this e-mail came in and I know it was worth it all.  In hardships, problems and such, teaching ministers, building churches and encouraging people to serve the Lord.  Walking by faith, many times not knowing where the next meal would come from or the money to pay the rent etc.  Was it worth all the years to help nationals bring Christ to their own people?  Your support means so much to us, some have fallen by the wayside it seems, others have went home to be with the Lord, but our trust in Christ and your faithful support blessed by God does bring much fruit.

Brother Mark a Chinese pastor now that we have worked with side by side wrote this.  They had lunch after the church service, with about 80 members joined the lunch meeting.  They prayed and after lunch, then later had a meeting in the Tin Ping Estate church, about 60 elderly joined the Sunday and Christmas service at 8:30 to 10:30am.  Twenty of them are his church members in that place and forty who are not Christian.  They pray that they would develop the elders in that church.  This is one of the outreaches, which grew out of the church in Sheung Shui.  God’s word does not return void but does accomplish what the Lord wants and it does flourish.  We will again be raising money for the youth camps this summer, as before, these young people are also part of your blessings to Jesus the Lord of our life.

2007 was a great year and as we enter 2008 we would like to make a trip to the mission field, we would like to minister in Hong Kong and the Philippines.  As most of you know, we started out our work in the Philippines and worked with Sister Carol’s father Rev. Eugene Garrett.  That work is going strong with Carol’s Philippine sister and brother in law Becky & Omar Dalumpies.

We trust the Lord that it is His well to make such a trip so we can win more souls for the Kingdom of God.  We are looking forward to return in March 2008 only may have to wait a little longer as the apartments are fully booked till Summer and the cost is much higher than before as the US Dollar has lost nearly 40% of its value this year.  The cheapest Air Fare and an apartment for two months will run round trip $7,000.00 if you would like to help please ear mark your checks for “airfare”.  Sister Elizabeth reminded me “When we sow a seed into God’s work, you’ll reap a reward.  Thank you for all your support and pray for the funds to come in so we can go back soon.  Carol and I have talked about going one way, and later buy the return ticket so we can stay as long as we can.

 God has open the door again for Sister Carol to have her articles printed each Weekend in the Sullivan Daily Times, and many have said her articles bless them.  The newspaper asked her to email them and they will publish them so the Church and others can see what God is doing today, she is the guest columnist.  This also is an outreach of Pioneers for Jesus, not only Asia but the USA as well.  I have a daily internet question and answer to preach and teach the Holy Bible.  Which I have heard from people of many nations, that goes then to our website www.pioneers-for-jesus.org to see the new format and learn of Jesus.  That outreach also is what your support and others have given to help us over these years.  Carol and I love people, all people and reach the very poor to the rich, the lost and unsaved, people that never heard the name of Jesus.  Rejoice with us  as what which was planted still grows.  Which are still reaching out and more souls have heard the Gospel because we, you and I have been faithful in what the Lord has given us.  One sends, one waters and another reap the good harvest.

Yours truly in Christ Jesus,

Raymond and Carol Knapp
