Dear
Internet reader and friends,
We would like to say
thank you for your love and support of
this ministry, to reach Hong Kong, China, and others with the Gospel of our
Lord Jesus Christ.
We arrived July 1st at night in
Hong Kong where our Chinese Pastor Amos met us at the Airport and drove us to
our small apartment. I preached in the Sheung Shui Church; it was full and membership has grown since
last year. Many of youth had to go upstairs
for their service. That way we had some space for visitors in the church. The 18th we were in the downtown
church in Jordon which is located on the fourth floor of a building. It
also was a blessing and all seats were full.
We were a little late for the beginning of the service since we had to
change trains three times to reach the area then walk blocks in the heat which
most of the time is in the high 90s. One
pastor of another Christian church saw us and welcomed us back and told me we
sure picked the wrong time to come as we must be careful and not get heatstroke.
Still the church had a open air street
meeting which some young people that came from Singapore to witness.
Everyone is happy to see us, and we are
seeing old friends and people from the village where we lived before as it is
all Chinese and the old customs. Carol
had some of the elderly woman come up and tell her how
happy they are to see us again.
We are
invited to the government hospital to hold the first religious service there,
on the 7th of August. We will
be praying for the sick and believe God to bless. Recently God has answered our prayers. One
person the doctors said would not live long because of cancer--God answered
prayer as I knew that person was not going to die as the doctor told him at that
time. I met that person a few weeks
later after the doctors again check him, and now they could not find any cancer. “God is good, All the time.” Pray for that
service. God is opening doors to teach
and help bring people, nearer to God.
You are part this ministry and if two or three pray together, Jesus is
here with us. He is the answer and
nothing is impossible in Him. Pray for
Sister Carol as her knees are hurting as we are now walking miles a day just to
go anyplace.
The
old microwave they let us use looked like it was going to blow up, it started sparkling. I was able to buy a small one to replace it. We thank you for praying for our safety.

On
the 22 of August, we will have two services one for the elderly in our outreach
church, at 8:30 AM. Then another service at the CGGC regular service and we will
dedicate Pastor Amos’s first grandson.
We have known his family for over twenty years, and his children are
like our own kids. They love us and we
love them, then this is all church family to us. Then in the Jordon church you can see some of
the children praying together.
Your
missionary and partners in Christ,
Raymond
and Carol Knapp
